Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What is the difference between marine plywood and ordinary plywood?
A: Marine plywood uses WBP phenolic waterproof glue, with extremely strong water, steam, and weather resistance. It can withstand 72 hours of boiling without delamination or separation. Ordinary plywood usually uses urea-formaldehyde or melamine glue, with limited water resistance, and is not suitable for long-term humid or outdoor environments. Marine plywood also strictly complies with BS 1088:2018, suitable for marine, boat building, and high-end outdoor applications.

Q2: What does WBP glue mean? Why can it withstand 72 hours of boiling without delamination?
A: WBP stands for Weather and Boil Proof. JINDIWOOD marine plywood uses phenolic resin glue, which after curing forms a highly cross-linked three-dimensional network structure. Its water and heat resistance are extremely strong, so it can withstand 72 hours of boiling without delamination or separation.

Q3: Does the product comply with BS 1088? Can it be certified by a classification society?
A: Yes. JINDIWOOD marine plywood strictly complies with British Standard BS 1088:2018. It can be tested and certified by Lloyd's Register and other international classification societies, meeting the material requirements for marine and offshore engineering.

Q4: What is the eco-friendly grade? What is the formaldehyde emission?
A: JINDIWOOD marine plywood can reach E0 and even ENF grade. Zero benzene added, extremely low formaldehyde emission. E0 grade: ≤0.025 mg/m³; ENF grade: ≤0.015 mg/m³. The choice depends on the application.

Q5: Can fire retardant be customized? What fire rating can be achieved?
A: Yes. JINDIWOOD marine plywood can be custom-treated with fire retardant, with fire rating up to GB 8624 A2. Suitable for ships, vehicles, public spaces, and other scenarios with strict fire safety requirements.

Q6: What thickness and sizes are available? Can they be customized?
A: Thickness ranges from 3–35 mm. Standard size is 1220 × 2440 mm. OEM/ODM customization is also supported: thickness, size, face veneer type, glue grade, and fire-retardant treatment can be customized according to customer requirements.

Q7: What are the main application fields?
A: Mainly used in yacht/boat building and repair, hull structures, decks, bulkheads, marine platforms; outdoor timber structures, wooden house exterior walls, roof bases; high-end cabinets, bathroom cabinets, engineered flooring substrate; vehicle bodies, container floors, speaker boxes, etc.

Q8: What is the MOQ and lead time?
A: MOQ is 1 pallet. For standard products, lead time is generally 15–30 days after order confirmation. For customized products, it depends on specifications and process, usually 20–40 days after sample confirmation.

Q9: What is your after-sales policy?
A: We provide a full after-sales guarantee. If a quality issue is confirmed, we offer 100% full compensation and cover the replacement shipping cost — no discount negotiations, no deductions.
